Our Story

Waypoint Private Capital, founded in 2009, is an investment banking firm specializing in M&A advisory services for U.S. based privately held middle-market businesses. We have experience and expertise across a variety of industries, with significant experience in the manufacturing and healthcare services sectors.

The boutique firm emerged as the successor to a private equity and investment banking firm with which co-founders Jim Holder and Steve Sprindis were previously affiliated.

Over the past 15 years, Waypoint Private Capital has helped hundreds of business owners acquire other companies, source capital for growth and recapitalization, and sell their company for maximum value.

At Waypoint Private Capital, our team is our greatest asset. With over 420 years of combined M&A career experience, our team spans nine U.S. locations.

Our team members are seasoned C-suite executives who successfully led companies across various industries. The average career experience of our team members is 30+ years. 


A few of our team members were also business owners who have sold their businesses, giving them firsthand experience of the selling process. This unique perspective allows us to deeply understand the emotional and strategic aspects involved in such transactions, enabling us to guide our clients through similar journeys with unparalleled expertise.
