Mako Steel
Waypoint was engaged by management to sell the premier provider of construction services to the self-storage industry. Mako Steel designs, supplies, and installs steel structures for single-story and multi-story auto, boat, RV, and custom storage facilities. The team at Waypoint prepared the offering materials, presented the opportunity to numerous financial buyers and was able to create a strong market of buyers for the company. After a successful negotiation we sold the majority of this Carlsbad, CA-based company to a New York-based private equity firm. Management retained a significant portion of the equity with the hopes of continuing to grow the company with their new partner and having another large exit in the future.
