Deal Announcement: National Occupational Health Services

Waypoint Private Capital is pleased to announce the sale of National Occupational Health Services to Concentra.

National Occupational Health Services Deal Announcement

Waypoint Private Capital (“Waypoint”) served as exclusive sell-side M&A advisor to National Occupational Health Service (“NOHS”) on its sale to Concentra. The acquisition of NOHS expands Concentra’s work injury care and other employer-related health services provided in the Tulsa area.

“We are honored to welcome NOHS and its employees to the Concentra family,” said Bob Hassett, DO, MPH, vice president of Concentra medical operations. “NOHS has an excellent reputation in Tulsa, and we’re excited to continue that legacy.”

Brad Petty acquired NOHS in 2005. Brad built a strong business providing a broad range of services including medical testing, diagnostic services and occupational health services and evaluations tailored to meet a client’s specific requirements. NOHS operated with a commitment to providing flexible occupational health care solutions and responsive customer service. His success was aided in part by his active involvement with The Alternative Board peer advisory board in Tulsa (“TAB Tulsa”).

Brad was proud of what he accomplished in building NOHS, but was ready to retire and wanted to find the right partner to take NOHS into the future. After discussing his options for transitioning ownership of NOHS with Bruce Skaistis, he engaged Waypoint to help him sell the business. After running a full sell-side M&A process, Brad chose to sell NOHS to Concentra, which would allow him to move onto the next stage in his life and provide a good opportunity for his employees.

Unfortunately, unexpected health issues arose, and Brad passed away before the transaction could be finalized. Brad had created a trust to take over ownership of NOHS in the event of his death, and after his passing Concentra remained committed to acquiring NOHS. Together, Waypoint, Brad’s attorney, his accountant, and the Concentra team worked together to successfully complete the sale.
